Who are we and how did our website start?

OxfordTheatres.com

EdinburghTheatreGuide.com - the definitive guide to what's on at the theatre in Edinburgh in Scotland- is the brainchild of the people who brought you ManchesterTheatres.com, the website which covers all theatres in Manchester. The Edinburgh Theatre Guide was created and launched in March 2008.

Noticing that there wasn't many other sites on the internet that listed every theatre in Edinburgh, we set about providing a guide to what's on and where to stay nearby.

Not only can you see which productions, shows and gigs are coming to Edinburgh, but you can also buy tickets online and even book your hotel near the venue itself. We provide information about each of the theatres; how to get there and seating plans too. You can join our mailing list which means you will be kept upto date with all the new productions that might interest you.

EdinburghTheatreGuide.com does not just concentrate on the large theatres in the city either, we created the 'other venues' page which covers all theatres and theatre groups in the local area. If you are a smaller theatre or a theatre group and want us to list you, contact us and tell us all about yourself and any website information. Please note that as the website is fairly new, this page might take a while before many of the smaller venues are listed.

Edinburgh was the 6th city to have a theatre guide produced by UKTheatreGuides.com following on from Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, Oxford and Bristol. We intend to add other theatre guides in the future for other cities, including Nottingham, Newcastle, Sunderland and Cambridge.

How do you get listed or advertise with us?

Oxford Theatres

Although we are a business, we are not in this for the money and trying to make money out of people. We do not charge big fees. Drop of us a line and tell us how we can benefit you. What can we do to promote your theatre and shows?

We can add you to our 'other venues' page, adding your theatre details - your theatre logo, your postal address, website address, email address, telephone numbers, book tickets online details, how to get to your theatre, etc... all for no cost.

We can also offer you the opportunity to have your current and future productions added to our theatre calendar which is visited by many of our online customers. You can join our mailing list to keep your finger on the pulse about new shows coming to Edinburgh and special offers for tickets.

We are looking to also promoted this Edinburgh Theatres website so feel free to add us to your website, ideally, not just on your links page, but somewhere on your site where we'll be seen. We have many banners for you to choose from too. Go to our linking page to see the banners we offer. If you'd prefer a different banner advertising our sites, we can make one for you to add to your site. Other ways you could promote our site would be to add us in your theatre programmes and basically 'word of mouth', telling friends to log on to www.edinburghtheatreguide.com

How can you contact us?

WE ARE NOT A THEATRE, we are a website that promotes what is on in Edinburgh's theatres. If you have lost your brolly or need to know when a show finishes, your best bet is to contact the theatre directly. If you want details of a theatre, at the bottom of this page you'll see the theatres listed with their building photos. Select the theatre you need details for, and it will take you to the page with their listings on. On that page, you'll see towards the top next to a rotating photo - the postal address of the theatre, a map of where they are, contact details and a page on access/disabled information.

Please Note: EdinburghTheatreGuide.com is an independent website and is not affiliated in any way to the theatres featured*.

*= we are NOT the Edinburgh Playhouse, Festival Theatre, Lyceum Theatre, King's Theatre, Traverse Theatre, Brunton Theatre, Usher Hall, Assembly Rooms, Corn Exchange, Edinburgh Castle or The Fringe. Please contact the theatres directly if you need to get in touch with any of the above mentioned.
